NIGERIA LNG CAREER: SHIP MANAGEMENT NAVAL ARCHITECT

Nigeria LNG Limited is jointly owned by Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (49%), Shell (25.6%), Total LNG Nigeria Ltd (15%) and Eni (10.4%).

Nigeria LNG is currently seeking the services of an experienced Ship Management Naval Architect.

Location: Lagos

Qualification(s):

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture or a minimum of second class upper division in a similar discipline

  • Not more than 43 years



Job Experience & Training

  • 3-5 years experience in shipyard environment as part of a yard’s design and classification society

  • Possess sound knowledge of ships structural design and classification societies’

  • Be able to initiate economic and efficient repairs/replacement at short notice and available to travel internationally to a distressed ship

  • Have a good project preparation and organization skills

  • Have an understanding of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) issues and a commitment to excellence

  • Be result oriented with good negotiation, supervisory, coaching, and relationship management skills

  • Have excellent communication skills
