Qualification(s)

• Bachelor degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering or other relevant discipline


• Postgraduate degree will be an added advantage

Job Experience & skills

• Minimum of 8 years cognate experience in web design or programming


• Vast knowledge of digital design and maintenance


• Good working knowledge of web design studio


• In depth knowledge of XHTML, XSLT, XML, CSS, JavaScript, DHTML, Photoshops 7 and above, Adobe CS3 (Mainly Dreamweaver and Flash), Secure webforms and SEO


• Knowledge of Ajax, Net, C#, JQuery, MWBP, WCAG, MS Visual Studio 2008, Web 2.0, IIS, Sourcesafe, and Silverlight


• Knowledge of MYSQL, MS SQL, Oracle is preferred


• Graphics experience with photoshop or illustrator or image ready and flash or swish

Responsibilities

• Manage web design workflow and other web designers


• Responsible for maintaining policies, procedure and written standards for the web design group


• Ensure quality and timeliness with the weekly charts and graphs for industry vitals, posts new press releases


• Update jobs listings and keep product listings and samples up to date


• Multimedia updates to websites and product trials and demonstrations


• Create HTML marketing and other supporting sites on- demand for various departments


• Work with the marketing department to meet all their requests and manage requests through the design team


• Work with project managers and software developers to help create HTML mockup, make design and implementation decisions


• Provide technical assistance and training as necessary


• Write scripts and programs to enhance the content with search engines, animation, forms or graphics
