Qualification(s)
- Minimum of a second class or its equivalent in Communications, media relations, journalism or any other relevant discipline and relevant professional qualifications. A masters degree will be an added advantage
Job Experience & skills
- Proven experience of developing and implementing internal and external communications strategy
- Minimum of 8 years relevant experience, of which at least 5 must have been at a strategic senior management level
- Strong experience liaising with media and public relations agencies and ensuring accuracy and consistency in all external communications including handling media queries, press conferences and news releases
- Very good working experience of content and graphic design and print and electronic media/ publication management
- Excellent written and oral communications skills, including the ability to communicate complex or technical information clearly to a range of audiences both in writing and through public speaking, using both traditional and new media technology
