The Agency responsible for Canada development envelope wishes to recruit a full time Senior Consultant to support the monitoring of CIDA’s cooperation programme with the Economic Community of West African Stat (ECOWAS).

The Senior Consultant is expected to assist CIDA in fulfilling its obligations as one of the main developmental agencies directly involved in the strengthening of ECOWAS’ capacity building needs, particularly in the field of Agriculture and Rural Development.

Qualification(s)

• University degree (MA + 10 years experience) from a recognized university in a relevant field; (Social Sciences, Administration)

Job Experience & skills

• Knowledge of the mechanisms and operations of regional organizations in West Africa


• Experience and knowledge related to institutional strengthening


• Experience in planning, monitoring and evaluation of projects/ programs


• Very good analytical skills


• Significant experience in report writing


• Fluency in English (oral and written)


• Very good knowledge of current IT tools (Word, Excel)
