UNDP: COMMUNITY LIAISON ASSISTANTS JOBS FOR OGONILAND ENVIROMENTAL SURVEY PROJECT

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) are jointly undertaking a project, called Ogoniland Environmental Survey Project, to assess the environmental impacts associated with the oil field operations in Ogoniland, Nigeria.

In other to act as an interface between the technical team and the local community, the project is seeking to recruit community liaison staff, on service contract in Port Harcourt or the four LGAs Ogoniland.

Job Location: PH or 4 LGAs of Ogoniland

Number of positions: 4

Duration of appointment: 12 months with extension possibility.

Qualification(s):

  • Graduate with advanced qualifications in Social Sciences, Journalism, Communication, or Public relations



Job Experience & Training

  • minimum of 5 years of progressive responsible professional experience, including in community relations and communication

  • Ability to communicate clearly, orally and in writing, in English and in the local languages in Ogoniland and Rivers State
