Reporting to: Manager, Audit

Qualification(s)

• B. Sc/HND in accounting or related field


• Possess relevant professional qualifications in Accountancy and internal audit

Job Experience & skills

• Minimum of 5 years cognate experience


• Must possess working knowledge of the theories and principles of IT auditing and internal controls


• Proactive, honest with good organizational, planning, leadership and problem solving skills


• able to identify key internal control points in a system

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and direction in communicating and monitoring internal audit policies, practices, programmes and processes


• Ensure the implementation of internal audit approach for individual projects, monitor objectives and revises as appropriate


• Identifies potential risk areas and internal control flaws in the course of audit and makes appropriate recommendations for corrective actions


• Develops and discusses findings and comes to an agreement on recommendations and timelines for corrective actions with responsible officers of operations audited
