Qualification(s)
- A good university degree or HND in Engineering, surveyor or land survey (or its equivalent). Professional certification will be an added advantage
- Age between 30-45 years
Job Experience & skills
- Minimum 4years relevant experience
- A wide knowledge about total station operation. Ability to provide the information in CAD system (DWG DWF) operation of instruments to control level inclination and global position system
- The person must be Proactive, self motivated, discipline, assertive, analytical, very energetic with good team leadership skills (must be a team player).
Responsibilities
- Report to the mining planning Engineer and will provide service as a surveyor engineer
- Responsible for topographic updates according to the mining planning engineer requirement
- Control of floor level through measuring the level of every borehole and drill pattern
- Direct or conduct survey in order to establish legal boundaries for properties based on legal deeds and titles. Design of roads, inclination, drawing up, positioning of reference point in field
- Calculate height, depths, relative positions, property line, and other characteristics of terrain,/li>
- Determine inventory of the different materials used in cement manufacturing; Gypsum, iron ore, raw materials, clinker etc
- Determine quantity of material removed from the quarry overburden, interburden etc
- Adjust surveying instruments in order to maintain their accuracy
- Establish fixed point for use in making maps, using geodetic and engineering instrument
- Compute geodetic measurements and interpret survey data in order to determine positions, shapes, and elevations of geomorphic and topographic features
