The Population Council is an international, non-profit, non-governmental institution that seeks to improve the well-being and reproductive health of current and future generations around the world and help achieve a humane, equitable and sustainable balance between people and resources. The Council’s major program areas are HIV&AIDS, reproductive health and poverty, gender, and youth. The Council conducts biomedical, social science and public health research and helps build research capacities in developing countries. The Population Council has works in collaboration with a broad range if Nigerian institutions. Due to expansion of its activities, the Council is seeking qualified individuals to fill the following positions:

Job title: Program Manager (HIV)

Job Location: Abuja

Qualification(s)

• MPH, MBBS

Job Experience & skills

• Minimum of 5 years related working experience in health and development programs


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


• Good IT skills


• Ability to travel within and outside Nigeria


• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Responsibilities

• The successful candidates will provide technical program management assistance to the Project Director and be the project manager in the projects of the Men’s Health Network Nigeria (MHNN)


• He/She will undertake project design, implementation and evaluation of program/project activities, data analysis and progress report


• He/She will provide technical guidance on bio-medical aspects of the MHN program
