Job title: Facility Manager

Qualification(s)
- A Bachelor’s degree in social sciences or equivalent
Job Experience & skills
- Minimum of 2 years cognate experience
- Organization and systematic thinking
- Strong numeracy and ability to understand financial data
- IT skills
- Clear and concise writing skills and the ability to handle long and complex documents
- Interpersonal, relationship-building and negotiation skills
- Flexibility and the ability to work on more than one task at a time
Responsibilities
- Supervise procurement and maintenance and upgrades of furniture, utilities, security systems and signage for the entire facility
- Project management and supervising and coordinating work of contractors. Investigate availability and suitability of options for new premises
- Direct and plan essential central services such as reception, security, maintenance, mail, archiving, cleaning, waste disposal and recycling
- Ensure the building meets health and safety requirements
- Coordinate and lead one or more teams to cover various areas of responsibility
- Respond appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise
