Qualification(s)

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics/Instrument Engineering

Job Experience & skills

• Minimum of 3 years cognate experience in Marine/Power industry environment


• Working knowledge of IEC Electrical and control system standards


• Recognised training in PLC design and support


• Working knowledge of PLC systems including knowledge of instrumentation, programming and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA)


• Understanding of electrical protection, isolations and control system safety integration including installation and inspection procedures


• Practical knowledge of relevant software such as AutoCad, PLC, HML and SCADA software

Responsibilities

• Providing support on PLCs and control systems for efficient operation, maintenance, upgrade and replacements


• Ensuring control systems and PLCs are installed and maintained in compliance with Global Best Practices and statutory codes
