Qualification(s)

• Degree in the Humanities or relevant discipline from a reputable university

Job Experience & skills

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience with increased responsibilities in human resource management preferably with a global company


• Proven experience in manpower planning, recruiting and effective selection


• Experience in organizational and employee development with commitment to continuous learning and competency management


• Excellent communication, problem-solving and decision making skills


• Fluent French (spoken/written) is a plus


• Ability to motivate others and continuously improve systems and processes


• Knowledge of Labour Laws and employee Relationship Management


• Ability to provide strategic advice and input to Senior and Execute Management


• Excellent written, communication and presentation skills


• Excellent team leadership skills

Responsibilities

• Leading and managing the HR function of Wartsila Nigeria and in close collaboration with Wartsila Services global HR network to achieve quality of service and reliable performance


• Ensuring HRM policies and procedures are in place in accordance with Labour Laws


• Effectively directing manpower planning, recruitment and retention working closely with hiring managers


• Design and delivery of learning and development programs
