The West African Examinations Council, a sub-regional organization responsible for the conduct of a variety of examinations in the English-speaking West African countries, invites applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the following vacant positions in its Nigeria National Office and the Lagos Department of its Headquarters Research Division.

Job title: Aptitude Test Development Officers


Qualification(s)




  • Minimum of B.Ed. (Hons) and at least second class lower division in either Chemistry, Physics or English and M.Ed. in Educational Measurement and Evaluation from a recognized university



Job Experience & skills




  • A minimum of three years post qualification teaching experience is required

  • He/ She should be able to use personal computers, office software packages and have knowledge of web-based systems

  • Be self motivated and able to write good reports; analyze and review research reports; be able to work extra hours with little or no supervision

  • Be a team player with good interpersonal skills; be open and able to lead change

  • Possess influencing skills

  • Be an organizer/planner with ability to be flexible and a finisher with ability to successfully implement ideas

  • Possess analytical and communication skills
