Job title: Senior Public Affairs Officer/Public Affairs Officer
Qualification(s)
- Minimum of Bachelors degree in Mass Communication (at least second class lower division) from a recognized university
- Possession of a higher degree and membership of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) will be an added advantage
Job Experience & skills
- Minimum of 3 years experience in the Public Affairs Department of a reputable organization or in the editorial or reportorial department of a reputable media outfit
- Applicants who have not majored in Mass Communication but who possess graduate diploma in Mass Communication are also eligible
- Applicants for the post of senior public affairs officers must have a minimum of 6 years post qualification experience
- He/ She should be able to use personal computers, office software packages and have knowledge of web-based systems
- Be self motivated and able to write good reports; analyze and review research reports; be able to work extra hours with little or no supervision
- Be a team player with good interpersonal skills; be open and able to lead change
- Possess influencing skills
- Be an organizer/planner with ability to be flexible and a finisher with ability to successfully implement ideas
- Possess analytical and communication skills
