Action Aid is an International Non- Governmental organization registered in the Netherlands with headquarters in Johannesburg, South Africa. Action Aid international works in about 50 countries in Africa, Asia, Europe, Australia and the Americas. 22 of these country programs, affiliates or associates are in Africa and are led by Africans.

Job title: Capacity Building Technical Advisor

Job Location: Nasarawa, Ogun and Akwa Ibom

Qualification(s)


  • Degree in Social Sciences, Arts or Humanities is essential
  • Post graduate degree in a relevant field is essential

Job Experience & skills


  • A minimum of 7 years working experience preferably in the social development field is essential
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in a similar position is essential
  • Experience in working with HIV/ AIDs related Civil Society Organization in the area of capacity building and prevention is essential
  • Experience of the Nigerian policy environment as it relates with Gender and HIV/ AIDs is desirable
  • Excellent computer application skills is essential
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills is essential
  • Excellent conceptual, analytical, documentation and presentation skills is essential
  • Excellent skills in capacity building essential
  • Creative and takes initiative
  • Able to work effectively in a diverse team environment
  • Willing and able to travel
