Job title: General Manager - Exploration

Job Location:

Qualification(s)

• The candidate should have a university degree in Engineering or Physical/Earth Science
• A higher degree in a relevant discipline as well as a master of Business administration degree will be an added advantage

Job Experience & skills

• The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 20 years post qualification experience in the upstream oil and gas industry
• Experience should include onshore/ offshore oil and gas operations in Nigeria and in other parts of Africa, and applications from Nigerian nationals will be especially welcome
• He/ She must have hands- on technical skills in Geology and Geophysics with marked experience in one or the other
• He/ She should have an extensive network of contacts in the industry and be able to articulate clear ideas for pursuing and capturing specific new opportunities

Responsibilities

• The GM Exploration will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). He/ She will be a key member of the company leadership team and is expected to make major contributions to its future direction and success
• He/ She will be responsible for identifying and securing new opportunities; and finding and proving up new resources
• The successful candidate will also be responsible for building staff capabilities to establish a top performing exploration team
